Summers end

Life has been busy on the Plantation. My kids have been squeeling and running through sprinklers, eating an endless supply of popsicles. Puppys have been born and died , little boys have even dug them back up " Just to see.." .I've kissed and bandaged a bazzillion boo boos and watched three sets of sleepy eye lids flutter as they closed and mark the end to more sunny summer day...Where does it all go? The memories, the pictures, the stories you remind your self to jot down in your tattered journal.It all seems so real then not as the next day unfolds, then the next, before you know it you are out buying back packs and new lunch boxes and dreaming of how nice it will be to have the house all to your self again so you can attack the clutter and re organize closets you promised you would do last year...Then it hits you, its almost over, the time has slipped away and you didn't get to do all the things you wanted to do with your kids, school is about to begin and you don't want it to...at least I don't. If I could keep them home just a little longer..just a few more days Lord, I promise I'll make the days count
